
Thank you for taking the time to visit my academic profile. I am an Instructor in the Department of Communication at Western Carolina University and a Ph.D. Candidate in the School of Information Sciences at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
My collaborative Scholarship – which adopts theories and methods from library and information sciences, communication, education, and psychology – seeks to make higher education inclusive for all learners, particularly disabled students. Topics I investigate include:
- Disabled students’ information practices
- Innovating the delivery of library and information services via assistive technologies
- Training librarians and information professionals to empower disabled communities through user-centered design
